As with other extreme sports the styling and function of the clothing follows the needs of the wearer, so came the arrival of baggy and relaxed fit jeans creating the required movement for skateboarding, skate shoes for grip and of course surf hoodies (now skate hoodies?). Pounced on by DJs, hip hop followers and streetwise kids with the urge to keep in touch with todays image.
